About the supplement
The remote supplement is for Support at Home participants approved for the Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM) scheme who live in a remote area.
This supplement offsets the higher costs related to accessing assistive technology or home modifications in remote and very remote areas.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this supplement, the Support at Home participant must:
- be allocated an AT-HM funding tier
- have their primary address classified as remote or very remote according to the Modified Monash Model 6 or 7.
This information is captured during the participant’s aged care assessment.
How to apply
A provider does not need to apply for this supplement on their participant’s behalf.
Services Australia automatically pays this supplement for eligible participants.
Supplement rate
The supplement rate is an additional 50% of a participant’s allocated AT-HM funding tier.
