Why does the department collect your personal information?
We collect your personal information for sending updates about the Australian Immunisation Handbook (website and applications) and the National Immunisation Catch-up Calculator (NICC). This includes your:
- given name
- email address
- health care role
- notification preferences.
We may also use your personal information for other purposes. Such as information about upcoming research activities where we can utilise your health care expertise to further improve the Handbook and the NICC.
What would happen if the department did not collect your personal information?
If you are unable to give your email address, the department will be unable to send you updates about the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
Who will the department disclose your personal information to?
We use Mailchimp, an international email marketing service, to manage our mailing list. When you subscribe to our mailing list, you consent to Mailchimp collecting your email address on our behalf. Mailchimp also receives information from cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address).

If you need to change your email address, unsubscribe from the service and then resubscribe with the new email address.
