We (the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care) are collecting your personal information.
Why do we collect your personal information?
We collect personal information for the purpose of undertaking health provider compliance of payments made under portfolio legislation, namely the:
- Health Insurance Act 1973
- National Health Act 1953
- Dental Benefits Act 2008.
What would happen if we did not collect your personal information?
If you do not provide this information, we will be unable to consider your submission when making an assessment or decision about matters relating to you. This includes payments made to you under the above legislation.
Who will we disclose your personal information to?
We may disclose your personal information to Services Australia and other Commonwealth entities as part of health provider and approved supplier compliance activities regarding payments made under the Health Insurance Act 1973, the National Health Act 1953 or the Dental Benefits Act 2008.
