We (the Department of Health and Aged Care) collect your personal information.
Why do we collect your personal information?
We collect your personal information to send updates about the Australian Immunisation Handbook (website and applications) and the National Immunisation Catch-up Calculator (NICC). This includes your:
- given name
- email address
- health care role
- notification preferences.
We may also use your personal information for other purposes, such as information about upcoming research activities where we can use your healthcare expertise to further improve the Australian Immunisation Handbook and the NICC.
What would happen if we did not collect your personal information?
If you do not give your email address, we cannot send you updates about the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
Who will we disclose your personal information to?
We use Mailchimp, an international email marketing service, to manage our mailing list. When you subscribe to our mailing list, you consent to Mailchimp collecting your email address on our behalf. Mailchimp also receives information from cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address).

Our privacy policy contains information about how you may access and seek correction of your personal information that we hold.
If you need to change your email address, unsubscribe from the service and then resubscribe with the new email address.

Overseas disclosure of your personal information
