About the hotelling supplement
This supplement funds registered providers of approved residential care homes to help meet the cost of providing everyday living services, including catering, cleaning and laundry.
Supplement rate
The hotelling supplement rate is paid per resident per day (PRPD).

Supplement increases
The hotelling supplement will be indexed annually on 20 September, following consideration of pricing advice by IHACPA.
Eligibility
All registered providers of approved residential care homes receive the supplement, excluding those in the Multi-Purpose Services Program.
How to apply
Providers do not need to apply for the hotelling supplement.
Services Australia will automatically pay the supplement to eligible residential aged care homes.
The hotelling supplement is paid monthly in line with other residential aged care subsidies and supplements.
