Reporting for Multi-Purpose Services (MPS)

Multi-Purpose Services (MPS) providers must submit an annual activity report and annual statement of financial compliance and income and expenditure each year. Reporting requirements also apply to all aged care service providers. Find out what your obligations are under the Aged Care Act 1997.

Reporting requirements for all providers

Under the Aged Care Act 1997, all approved providers must report:

  • suspicions or allegations of reportable assaults occurring at your service — you must report these to the local police and to the Department of Health within 24 hours
  • missing residents (residents who are absent without explanation)

Find out more about the compulsory reporting that applies to all approved providers.

Reporting for MPS providers

As an MPS provider you must send us an annual activity report and an annual statement of financial compliance and income and expenditure by 31 August each year. This report should cover all activities in your service delivery plan. We will provide you with a template for reporting each year.
