We:
- manage and develop policy for the program
- review the program to ensure it meets the changing needs of care recipients
- manage data, reporting, compliance, fraud and legislation
- administer subsidy and supplements
- manage the My Aged Care Service and Support Portal, My Aged Care Contact Centre and My Aged Care website
- develop communications, guidelines and resources for the program
- work with Services Australia and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission to administer the program
- carry out reforms to the program.
Services Australia
- manages care recipient home care accounts
- administers payments to providers
- reviews and adjusts fee, subsidy and supplement rates
- conducts income assessments
- provides online claiming services for providers.
Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission:
- assesses applications and deem organisations as approved providers
- assesses and monitors Home Care Package services to make sure they meet the Aged Care Quality Standards
- resolves complaints made about these services
- takes compliance action if required.
