What this means for Fatima and her work
The new Act will benefit Fatima through:
- Providing safer care culture: The new Act creates a safer, fairer system that benefits both workers and the people they care for.
- Training and support: Dedicated eLearning modules and resources help workers understand the Act, apply its principles in practice, and support older people’s rights.
- Clearer responsibilities and guidance: Through the Statement of Principles and Code of Conduct, workers have clear expectations for behaviour and decision-making, reducing ambiguity.
