10 October 2024 - The CHSP provides entry-level support for older people who need some help to stay at home. Service providers work with them to maintain their independence. Support can include help with daily tasks, home modifications, transport, social support and nursing care.

14 January 2025 - We are reforming in-home aged care to help older people live independently at home for longer. The Support at Home program will replace Home Care Packages and the Short-Term Restorative Care Programme from 1 July 2025. Commonwealth Home Support Programme will transition no earlier than 1 July 2027.

10 December 2024 - To access the Home Care Packages Program, older people must first be assessed by an aged care assessor. Find out how packages are assigned and funded, and how services are delivered to support older people with complex needs to live independently at home.

22 July 2024 - Under this program, Aboriginal health services in remote areas can order Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) medicines from approved suppliers. The services can then provide these medicines to their patients for free. To get reimbursed, the suppliers submit a payment claim to Services Australia.
