8 September 2025 - The Private Hospital Stream is part of the Junior Doctor Training Program. It supports education, training and supervision for junior doctors in private hospitals, supporting junior doctors to work in expanded settings, including working in rural communities.

1 July 2025 - A resident’s fees will depend on the outcome of their means assessment and their negotiations with their aged care provider. 19 August 2025 - The strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards are more measurable, detailed and comprehensive. The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety identified focus areas for improvement, including diversity, governance, food and nutrition, dementia and clinical care.

24 June 2025 - A list of resources – including webinars and other publications – about the work we’ve done to strengthen the Aged Care Quality Standards.

20 May 2025 - Haemopoietic progenitor cells (HPC) therapy can save the lives of patients with conditions of the blood, blood-producing organs or immune system. The program funds several initiatives to help eligible Australians to access HPC treatments.

24 June 2025 - The strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards are designed to improve outcomes for older people and set clear expectations for providers in delivering quality aged care.
