22 August 2025 - The Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission is investing $185 million. It supports older Australians to maintain their health and quality of life as they age, live independently for longer, and access quality care when they need it.

30 June 2025 - The Dementia Expert Reference Group (DERG) provides expert insight and feedback to the Australian Government to support monitoring and continuous improvement of dementia policy, programs and activities.

3 November 2023 - Dementia Australia is the national peak body for people of all ages living with all forms of dementia, and their families and carers. They provide a range of information, education and support services, including the 24-hour National Dementia Helpline.

27 May 2025 - Free short introductory modules about dementia and communication strategies in care settings. Includes online micro-courses of only 15 minutes.

20 September 2021 - The Dementia in Australia 2021 report is the first of its kind in almost 10 years. Prepared by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, it shows how the impact of dementia is growing in Australia.

9 July 2025 - The National Dementia Action Plan 2024–2034 (the Action Plan) is Australia’s national dementia policy framework. It aims to improve the lives and care of people living with dementia, their carers and families over the next 10 years.

3 November 2023 - Dementia Training Australia provides dementia-specific accredited and non-accredited education, training, and professional development for aged and health care professionals.

12 August 2025 - This booklet provides an overview of the Department of Health and Aged Care’s initiatives and programs to support people living with dementia, their carers and families.
