Targeted letter campaigns

Many instances of incorrect payments are accidental. Targeted letters help you to self-review your claims, find potential errors, and voluntarily repay any accrued debt.

Targeted letters support early intervention. We use them to alert you when your claiming patterns show you are at risk of non-compliance. 

These letters help you to find and correct any errors by making a voluntary acknowledgement and repaying any debt accrued from your incorrect billing.

Responding to a targeted letter is voluntary. However, it is in your best interest to do so. When monitoring future claiming and deciding whether an audit or other intervention is required, we will consider:

  • information you have provided to explain your claiming
  • any corrections to claims you've made
  • any changes in your claiming patterns following the targeted letter.
