What you need to do
In the internship phase of your career, you have reporting obligations as detailed under the:
Under section 15 of the Rule, as an intern you must:
- log in to your Bonded Return of Service System (BRoSS) every 6 months – to ensure all personal details are up to date
- replace your student email address with an alternate email address
- ensure you have updated all requirements in the student phase
- update all appropriate requirements in the intern phase
- review the requirements in the prevocational phase.
If you are completing your internship in an eligible location, you can plan, activate and complete RoSO plans in BRoSS for any work you wish to credit towards your RoSO.
Updating your internship commencement
BRoSS uses the ‘Internship training starting date goal’ under 'Completion of medical course' in the student phase to generate automated system reminder emails.
- If you have commenced your internship, please update your 'Commencement of internship' by clicking ‘Advise’.
- If you have not commenced your internship, update this goal date to reflect a future placeholder date. To edit this, click on ‘View Details’.
- If you receive an automated email, please log into BRoSS to review and update your record as required.

BRoSS uses the ‘Expected completion date’ under ‘Commencement of internship’ to generate automated system reminder emails. If you receive an automated email, please log into BRoSS to review and update your record as required.
- If you have completed your internship, please update your ‘Completion of internship’ by clicking ‘Advise’.
- If you have not completed your internship, you will need to update the ‘Expected completion date’ under ‘Commencement of internship’ to reflect a future placeholder date.
