Bonded Medical Program for universities

Learn about the obligations of universities under the Bonded Medical Program.

University responsibilities

Universities have obligations under the Bonded Medical Program. These responsibilities come from the Department of Education’s Higher education providers' 2024–2025 Commonwealth Grant Scheme funding agreements. The conditions set out the obligations and standards for administering Program Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs).

Universities are responsible for:

  • selection and allocation of CSPs
  • ensuring students are eligible for Bonded CSPs
  • informing students about the Program
  • advising us who they have offered Bonded CSPs to
  • ensuring those students accept Program conditions
  • reporting to us.
