23 October 2023 - The Reimagining Where We Live design ideas competition is now open for architects and designers to design an innovative aged care home and showcase what can be achieved with the Australian Government’s new Design Principles and Guidelines for aged care homes.

30 October 2025 - The QI Program collects information from Australian Government–funded residential aged care homes on 14 quality indicators across critical areas of care that can affect the health and wellbeing of aged care home residents. 14 May 2026 - The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) is a research fund set up by the Australian Government in 2015. In March 2026, it grew to $25.4 billion. The net interest from the fund pays for important health and medical research projects.
