30 January 2026 - The strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards are more measurable, detailed and comprehensive. The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety identified focus areas for improvement, including diversity, governance, food and nutrition, dementia and clinical care.

26 March 2026 - Aged care providers can deliver services in a person’s home, community setting or residential aged care home. Different types of services provide support for people with different needs, such as location, background, experiences and care requirements.

12 November 2025 - The Advance Project supports advance care planning and palliative care for people living with dementia, through free training and resources for the aged and primary care workforce.
