The MRFF’s Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission supports research that enables older Australians to:
- maintain their health and quality of life as they age
- live independently for longer
- access quality care when they need it.
Eight projects will share funding under the 2025 Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care grant opportunity for projects that:
- improve quality of life and delay cognitive decline with ageing
- improve the health of older people including adults in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, in rural and remote areas and from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Read the media release for more information.
The MRFF also supports our up-and-coming researchers to build and progress their careers in Australia. The 2025 Early to Mid-Career Researchers grant opportunity will provide up to $44.8 million for:
- early career researchers to address major health challenges for priority populations through early stage, small scale research projects
- mid-career researchers to improve health care and the effectiveness of the health system for priority populations by leading large-scale interdisciplinary research
- early to mid-career researchers to turn their research into new health policies and practice.
Funding is from the MRFF’s Early to Mid-Career Researchers initiative.
