11 June 2025 - This action plan sets out what aged care providers can do to deliver more inclusive services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, and intersex (LGBTI) elders.

1 August 2025 - The food and dining experience offered by your aged care provider should be safe, enjoyable, respectful and based on what you like. You can learn more about your rights, how to raise complaints and how to get help with food in aged care.

3 November 2025 - As an registered provider of residential aged care, you must deliver a certain number of minutes of direct care per day to each resident, including by a registered nurse (RN). Read about care minutes, support for providers and calculating and reporting on care minutes.

24 October 2025 - Our registered supporter resource collection includes more information on the role of the new registered supporter, the regulatory environment, and the responsibilities of key stakeholders. It contains policies, videos and other resources to support awareness of the registered supporter role.

25 August 2025 - Electronic prescribing is now widely available in the community setting. It provides an option for healthcare providers and consumers to use an electronic prescription as an alternative to paper prescriptions. Paper prescriptions are still available.

10 October 2024 - The Hearing Services Program funds services to provide comprehensive hearing assessments and rehabilitation, annual reviews, advice, monitoring, support and access to hearing devices. If fitted with a hearing device, you can access subsidised maintenance.

6 November 2025 - We fund a range of organisations to give free palliative care education and training programs for health and aged care workers. Find a program or course that suits your learning needs.

31 October 2025 - If you want to work in a paid or volunteer aged care role, you must undergo a screening process to get a clearance. The clearance protects the safety and wellbeing of people accessing aged care.

31 October 2025 - As a Support at Home provider, you must deliver care management activities to all participants. Dedicated care partners work with each participant to plan and review their care and services.
