25 February 2026 - The Hearing Services Program provides subsidised high-quality hearing services and devices to eligible Australians with hearing loss.

23 June 2025 - We develop policies and run programs to support the nursing and midwifery workforce. The Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer Division supports this work across the department.

8 May 2026 - The SDCP funds specialist dementia care units in residential aged care homes. The units provide specialised care to people with very severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. They aim to reduce or stabilise symptoms so that people can transition into less intensive care settings.
