6 June 2025 - Community pharmacies and aged care providers can now employ credentialed pharmacists to work on-site in residential aged care homes.

12 June 2024 - The Online Compliance Platform (OCP) is a secure digital portal for health providers. If we contact you about certain Medicare compliance activities, we may also invite you to use the OCP. You can use it to self-review your Medicare claims, identify any potential errors and respond to us online.

30 October 2025 - The Australian Government pays registered providers to deliver aged care. We do this through subsidies and supplements, capital grants and other program grant funding.

19 December 2025 - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people can get a free health check once a year, as well as free follow-up care if needed. This helps keep people healthy by identifying risks of ill health early to prevent chronic conditions from developing.

It assessed the design, delivery and effectiveness of the HELP Debt Reduction Program for doctors and nurse practitioners in rural, remote or very remote areas, and teachers in very remote areas.

20 March 2025 - Accurate, real-time data and system compatibility will help all levels of government manage and monitor aged care services compliance with legislative requirements, direct funding and policy efforts effectively, cut red tape, and improve the quality of aged care.

28 October 2025 - The guidelines will assist all AGPT participants, including supervisors, practices and registrars, to understand the eligibility criteria, the process of determining and delivering the basic support payments, and the process of accessing the flexible payment pool.
