4 March 2026 - The Aged Care Transition Taskforce was announced by the Australian Government to help the aged care sector transition to the Aged Care Act 2024. Their final meeting was held on 16 February 2026.

1 September 2025 - The Aged Care Advisory Group advises the Australian Health Protection Committee about aged care policy related to infectious diseases and emergency preparedness. It brings together expertise about the aged care sector, infection control, emergency preparedness and public health response.

31 March 2026 - Hear the inspiring stories of past and present winners of the Senior Australian of the Year Award.

6 June 2025 - This framework sets out how our aged care system can meet the diverse needs of all older Australians. It includes action plans for government, aged care providers and consumers. It also provides resources to help providers meet the goals of the framework.

7 September 2026 - The Aged Care Diversity Consultative Committee advises us on how the aged care system can better cater to people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs and life experience.

24 March 2025 - Discover what we’re doing to build a valued, skilled and supported workforce to meet the needs and rights of older people.

30 January 2026 - The strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards are designed to improve outcomes for older people and set clear expectations for providers in delivering quality aged care.

9 January 2026 - As a registered provider, you must offer care, services and equipment in the Residential Care Service List. These include accommodation, everyday living services, non-clinical and clinical care. If agreed, you can charge separately for higher level services.
