7 November 2023 - This website provides information about noise and how it can affect your hearing health. Find out if the noise at your work or other places is putting you at risk of hearing damage. You can also take a hearing test to check if you have hearing loss.

21 August 2024 - The Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Review examined Australia’s current HTA system, including its policy and methods. It worked with stakeholders to identify features that are working effectively and those that are acting as barriers to access.

1 June 2023 - These trials explored different ways of helping people understand and engage with the aged care system. Lessons from these trials have helped us decide the best way to support people to navigate aged care.

11 September 2023 - The Transition to Practice Program provides an evidence-based framework of support over 12 months to nurses who have transitioned to primary health care and feel they would benefit from additional support. We fund the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) to provide this program.

30 June 2025 - Eligible living organ donors can claim up to 342 hours of leave from work at the National Minimum Wage and up to $1,000 out-of-pocket expenses. You will need to send us an application form and supporting documents. You can request a review if we decline your application.

27 February 2024 - The Government Provider Management System (GPMS) will make it easier for providers to access and report information to government. In the future it will be a master source of information across the aged care system.

29 May 2025 - We are incentivising doctors to specialise in general practice to help build our future GP workforce.

21 June 2024 - The Clinical Trials Activity initiative will provide $750 million over 10 years from 2024–25. It will help Australian researchers and patients test new treatments through national and international clinical trials. It will also support research on rare cancers, rare diseases and unmet needs.

17 June 2025 - The Australian Government has announced that the start date of the new Aged Care Act 2024 will be briefly deferred.
