This Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) advised on research investments under the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) to improve outcomes for people experiencing Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC). PASC is also known as Long COVID.

We established this taskforce within our department to advise the government on how to respond to recent primary care and workforce reviews. The taskforce works with stakeholders to design and coordinate options for responses based on recommendations from the reviews.

The Primary Health Reform Steering Group provided independent expert advice to guide the development of the Primary Health Care 10 Year Plan. The group ran from October 2019 to September 2021.

The Primary Health Research Plan Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) advised on primary health care research investments under the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

Ms Christine Morgan is the first National Suicide Prevention Adviser, reporting directly to the Prime Minister. She is driving a whole-of-government national approach to suicide prevention, in support of the Australian Government’s ‘towards zero’ suicides goal.

The Quality Use of Pathology Committee provides advice on the Quality Use of Pathology Program (QUPP).

The RAC Funding Reform Working Group advises the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing on residential aged care funding reform activities.

An independent review is considering accommodation pricing in residential aged care, including the rate and design of the accommodation supplement.

The Joint Advisory Committee (JAC) is the lead governance mechanism for the Rheumatic Fever Strategy (RFS).

The Roadmap Implementation Governance Group oversees the implementation of the national roadmap for improving the health of people with intellectual disability.

The Senior Officer Group (SOG) oversee the implementation of the 2021–22 Budget measure to align provider regulation across the care and support sectors.

The partnership brings together First Nations and government representatives. It aims to improve social and emotional wellbeing and mental health and reduce suicide rates.

The Stem Cell Therapies Mission Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) advised the government on the research priorities for this mission, which is funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

The Stoma Product Assessment Panel assesses applications to add stoma products to the Stoma Appliance Scheme Schedule. The panel of experts meets twice a year to review applications from suppliers, and give their recommendation.

This committee guides the implementation of Strengthening Medicare reform measures. It consists of peak bodies, industry leaders, consumer representatives, experts from across the sector and jurisdictional representatives.

The Minister for Health and Aged Care established the Strengthening Medicare Taskforce to provide recommendations on the highest priority improvements to primary care.

The Targeted Translation Research Accelerator Plan Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) advised on investments under the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) for research into diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

The COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatments for Australia – Science and Industry Technical Advisory Group provided advice to the Australian Government on the purchasing and manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccines and treatments.

The First Nations Aged Care Governance Group (FNACGG) advises us on healthy ageing and aged care reform for older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Thriving Kids Advisory Group provides expert advice for our Thriving Kids initiative.

The Traumatic Brain Injury Mission Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) advised the government on the research priorities for this Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) mission.
