National coverage rates
We have again exceeded the target of 95% coverage for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander five year olds.
As at June 2024, the coverage rates were:
- 90.29% for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander one year olds
- 88.77% for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander two year olds
- 95.23% for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander five year olds.

One jurisdiction (Tasmania) has exceeded the 95% target rate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander one year old immunisation coverage.
Coverage rates for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander 2 year olds
States and territories have not yet achieved coverage rates above the aspirational target of 95% for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander two year old immunisation coverage.
Coverage rates for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander 5 year olds
Six of the state and territories (Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria) have exceeded the 95% target rate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander five year old vaccination.
