This final report outlines what the Australian National University exploration of predictive integrated National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia Quality Assurance Programs (RCPAQAP) modelling to improve pathology quality project achieved.

This QUPP-funded project identified relationships between sets of performance data to develop a model (machine learning algorithm) that detects poor performing pathology laboratories and generate rules to reduce inappropriate testing and improve performance.
