Use the Phase 1 checklist to make sure you are ready on 1 October. You will need to implement the changes and manage the change for your staff and participants.
5.1 Apply the new contribution settings from 1 October
- Ensure personal care services delivered from 1 October attract no participant contributions.
- Ensure claims for personal care services delivered before 1 October still attract the applicable contribution.
- Confirm billing, claiming and participant statements correctly reflect the change.
5.2 Manage participant enquiries
- Ensure staff can respond to participant questions about the change.
- Monitor common questions and provide additional guidance where needed.
