In early 2020 HealthConsult was engaged to develop options for an Assessment, Classification and Funding (ACF) model for a new Single In-Home Care Program intended to replace the Home Care Packages Program and Commonwealth Home Support Programme. An ACF model is expected to match assessed needs of older people and their informal carers with appropriate supports, and ensure that older people with similar needs receive equal support.
HealthConsult’s final report outlines the identified options and evaluation, including a preferred model for further development.
