Allied health professionals do not have to apply or pay for AHECS cover. They are automatically covered if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Applying for the AHECS

The AHECS automatically covers allied health professionals if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligible allied health professionals (or their representative or insurer) can apply for an AHECS payment for eligible claims made against them.

Paying for AHECS cover

Allied health professionals do not need to pay premiums to receive AECS cover. The Australian Government fully funds the AHECS.
