29 August 2023 - Rural LAP provides locums so that rural health professionals can attend continuing professional development or take vacation leave. The program also funds GPs to do extra training so they can become rural locums.

9 December 2024 - On 9 December 2024, the Single Assessment System workforce replaced the previous aged care assessment workforces. This provides a single assessment pathway for older people to enter aged care and access different services as their needs change.

5 December 2024 - The Interim Australian Centre for Disease Control (CDC) works with the Communicable Diseases Network Australia (CDNA) to develop and revise national guidelines for public health units. Public health units use these when managing nationally notifiable diseases.
