10 October 2024 - The Hearing Services Program funds services to provide comprehensive hearing assessments and rehabilitation, annual reviews, advice, monitoring, support and access to hearing devices. If fitted with a hearing device, you can access subsidised maintenance.

4 February 2026 - A list of resources – such as the provider requirements search tool, videos, guidance and webinars – to help you understand how the new regulatory model for aged care works.

31 October 2025 - COVID-19, influenza (flu), and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are infectious, high risk respiratory diseases for older people. We are working with aged care providers and workers to prevent these diseases from spreading.

29 October 2024 - Not everyone benefits from a hearing device. But if you need one, your provider will help you find one that meets your needs and goals. The Hearing Services Program fully subsidises some hearing devices so there is no cost to you, and partially subsidises others, with you paying the gap.

12 March 2025 - Some people are at higher risk of getting COVID-19, or of getting severe illness, getting long COVID or dying from COVID-19. If you are at high risk, you should take extra precautions – especially getting vaccinated – and talk to your doctor. You might be eligible for antiviral medicines.

4 June 2025 - On 9 December 2024, the Single Assessment System workforce replaced the previous aged care assessment workforces. This provides a single assessment pathway for older people to enter aged care and access different services as their needs change.

18 October 2023 - University students can feel severe psychological distress before their exams. The Vibe Up trial uses artificial intelligence (AI) to find out if digital mental health therapies can help, and which therapies work best for each student.

23 December 2025 - If you provide residential aged care services, you have certain responsibilities as a registered provider. You must provide quality care and services, manage fees and charges, and meet all legislative requirements.
