27 October 2025 - Older people receiving care in home or community settings may need to make contributions towards the cost of their care. This takes into account how much they can afford to pay, based on their means test.

27 October 2025 - Older people may need to contribute towards the cost of accommodation in a residential aged care home. These accommodation payments can be made daily or as a refundable deposit.

31 October 2025 - Most Support at Home participants will need to contribute to the cost of independence and everyday living services. This contribution will depend on their individual circumstances. They will not contribute to the cost of clinical supports, such as nursing care.
