Getting ready for the personal care contribution change

Support for providers to prepare for the new personal care contribution settings which take effect from 1 October 2026.

The Provider readiness checklist helps providers prepare for the change. It is separated into 2 phases. 

Phase 1 explains how providers can make sure their organisation, ICT, stakeholders and participants are prepared in time for 1 October 2026.

Phase 2 explains how providers can apply the required changes, resolve issues and monitor performance.

Stay up to date and get support

Providers can stay up to date and get additional support by participating in other activities.

Attend an information session

We are hosting fortnightly provider information sessions for you to ask questions and seek clarification about the changes. Representatives from the department and Services Australia will attend. You need to register to attend these sessions.
