The Advisory Committee for the COVID-19 Response for People with Disability provides advice to the Chief Medical Officer about the needs of people with disability during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Aged Care Advisory Group advises the Australian Health Protection Committee about aged care policy related to infectious diseases and emergency preparedness. It brings together expertise about the aged care sector, infection control, emergency preparedness and public health response.

This committee (formerly called the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee, or AHPPC) is the key decision-making committee for health emergencies. Australia's Chief Medical Officer chairs the AHPC, which includes all state and territory Chief Health Officers.

The BBVSS provides strategic advice to the Health Chief Executives Forum as part of a coordinated response to bloodborne viruses (BBV) and sexually transmissible infections (STI) across Australia.

The Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) Incident Panel is a subcommittee of the Communicable Diseases Network Australia (CDNA). It provides advice about potential CJD transmission and contamination events.

Established in 2023, the HIV Taskforce examines opportunities to eliminate HIV transmission in Australia and provide advice to the Australian Government.

The Multicultural Health Advisory Group (Advisory Group) works in partnership with the department to advise on issues across the Health, Disability and Ageing portfolio to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for multicultural people and communities

The National Arbovirus and Malaria Advisory Committee (NAMAC) is a subcommittee of the Communicable Diseases Network of Australia (CDNA).

The National Blood Borne Virus and Sexually Transmissible Infections Surveillance Subcommittee (NBBVSTI SSC) is an expert committee of the Communicable Disease Network Australia (CDNA). It provides expert advice on BBV and STI transmission.

The National Respiratory Infections Surveillance Committee (NRISC) is a subcommittee of the Communicable Diseases Network Australia (CDNA). We established the NRISC to enhance respiratory infection surveillance in Australia and foster collaboration among experts in this field.

The Polio Expert Panel (PEP) is a subcommittee of the Communicable Diseases Network Australia (CDNA). It reviews clinical and laboratory data from notified AFP cases to determine if cases are poliomyelitis or non-polio acute flaccid paralysis.

The COVID-19 Vaccines and Treatments for Australia – Science and Industry Technical Advisory Group provided advice to the Australian Government on the purchasing and manufacturing of COVID-19 vaccines and treatments.

The National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Protection (NATSIHP) subcommittee of the Australian Health Protection Committee (AHPC), replaces the former Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group on COVID-19.
