headspace provides mental health support services to young people aged 12 to 25 years, who are experiencing, or at risk, of mental ill-health.

15 HeadtoHelp hubs have been established to support Victorians during the COVID-19 pandemic. All Victorians affected by COVID-19 can access the free HeadtoHelp services by attending in-person at a clinic near them or by calling 1800 595 212 to talk a mental health professional about their needs.

The Health Peak and Advisory Bodies Program supports peak and advisory bodies in the health sector to develop our national health system.

We are enhancing the Health Products Portal (HPP) to provide a single digital channel for industry to interact with us about regulated and reimbursed health-related products and services.

The HTA Review examined Australia’s approach to HTA to determine what works well and what needs to improve to meet future challenges. The aim was to ensure Australians can continue to access effective, safe and affordable health technologies in an equitable and timely way.

This program provides scholarships and bursaries to existing health professionals committed to rural and remote service. It supports the cost of completing postgraduate and short courses, attending accredited industry conferences, or completing vocational education and training courses.

Eating a wide variety of fruit and vegetables promotes good health. Australia has high quality produce and there is plenty to choose from throughout the year.

Through the voluntary Healthy Food Partnership, we work with the food industry and the public health sector to encourage Australians to eat healthy foods, and we support food companies to make positive changes. This will help reduce diet-related diseases, and overweight and obesity in Australia.

The Hearing Services Program provides subsidised high-quality hearing services and devices to eligible Australians with hearing loss.

This initiative reduces outstanding Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) debt for eligible doctors and nurse practitioners who live and work in rural, remote or very remote areas of Australia.
