National Nursing Workforce Strategy consultations

We are currently consulting nurses and providers to inform our National Nursing Workforce Strategy. Have your say by taking part in a face-to-face workshop near you, attending a webinar, completing our survey or sending us a video.

Survey, videos and written submissions

The consultation survey, video and written submissions are now open for the National Nursing Workforce Strategy until 20 December 2023. Please visit the Department’s consultation hub to complete the survey, upload a written submission or send in a short video with your feedback.

The purpose of these consultations is to capture views on nursing workforce issues and identify opportunities for improvement, so we can consider these when developing the strategy.

During these sessions, we hope to better understand the enablers and barriers which may have an impact on improvements and innovations that enhance the delivery of care. From this process, we can establish a clear objective for the strategic growth and development of the nursing workforce.
