Aged Care Provider Workforce Survey
Data collection for the Aged Care Provider Workforce Survey 2023 is complete. Data from this survey is publicly available through the AIHW GEN Aged Care Data website. For any enquiries, please email ACWprovidersurvey@health.gov.au.
The survey collected data from a representative sample of aged care services delivering:
- residential aged care
- in-home care
- Multi-Purpose Services (MPS)
- the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program (NATSIFACP).
The Aged Care Provider Workforce Survey has replaced the Aged Care Workforce Census.
Aged Care Worker Survey
The Aged Care Worker Survey 2024 is now complete. This survey will build on findings from the Aged Care Provider Workforce Survey to:
- address current data limitations and knowledge gaps
- strengthen data on workforce demographics, employment arrangements, skills and training
- collate information on workforce attraction, retention and satisfaction.
It is expected that data will be publicly available in late 2024 on the Department of Health and Aged Care website. For any enquiries, please email ACWprovidersurvey@health.gov.au.
