Technical supplement – 2022 update to NNDSS laboratory-confirmed influenza case definition

From 1 January 2022, the National Notifiable Disease Surveillance System (NNDSS) case definition for laboratory-confirmed influenza was updated. This technical supplement analyses the impact of this change in case definition and explains how data will be presented in future influenza reports.
