The second edition of this report contains updates as a result of a quality control process. For further information, refer to the ‘Important note for readers’ section inside the report.
This report presents the results of the 2017 ASSAD survey. Around 20,000 students aged 12 to 17 years participated in the survey.
The report includes statistics on:
- tobacco, alcohol, electronic cigarettes, over-the-counter drugs and illicit drugs use
- use of health services
- use by age and sex
- cigarette brands smoked
- types of substances used compared to 2011
The first ASSAD survey was in 1984. Surveys are conducted every 3 years.
