Public consultation on the proposed changes to the recommended use of HPV vaccines in The Australian Immunisation Handbook 10th Edition was conducted over a 4-week period from 30 October 2017 to 30 November 2017, during which time the proposed changes were available on the Citizen Space website. The Department of Health invited a range of stakeholders, committees, working groups and interested people to provide submissions.
Following public consultation, the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation made a submission to the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), seeking its approval of the proposed changes to the recommended use of HPV vaccines in The Australian Immunisation Handbook 10th Edition (Handbook). This submission was approved by NHMRC in January 2018.
