About the data

This downloadable table provides influenza vaccination rates of aged care residents by facility across Australia from 1 January 2024, using data from the Australian Immunisation Register.

To protect the personal information of individuals:

  • a facility's resident vaccination rate is displayed within a range (for example 90–100%).
  • a band's width is based on the number of residents at that residential aged care facility.
  • larger percentage bands are used when reporting vaccination rates for residential aged care facilities with 10 or less residents.
  • data for facilities with fewer than 5 residents are not included.

Notes:

  • Australian Immunisation Register data is as at 18 June 2024.
  • Resident influenza vaccination includes any influenza vaccination administered to a resident from 1 January 2024.
  • Residential Aged Care Home (RACH) resident data uses a snapshot of residents present in permanent residential aged care as at 31 December 2023.

RACH residents refer to all residents in Australian Government-funded positions in RACHs. For reporting accuracy, total resident population only includes residents who have linked with their vaccination records (98.3% of aged care residents can be linked to their vaccination records).
