Health’s Portfolio Budget Statements (PB Statements) inform Senators and Members of Parliament about how the Government plans to allocate resources. They are budget-related documents under the Appropriation Acts.
The PB Statements help Parliament to understand the purpose of each proposed outcome by providing:
- information – what the Government expects to spend
- explanation – how the expenditure will be managed
- justification – why it’s necessary.
