Nursing and allied health scholarships

We fund a range of scholarship opportunities through the Australian College of Nursing including nursing, midwifery, aged care, undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships. Preference is given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.

Australian College of Nursing scholarships

The Australian College of Nursing administers a range of scholarships for us, including:

  • undergraduate and postgraduate aged care for nurses, personal care workers and allied health professionals
  • nursing and midwifery courses.

The Australian College of Midwives provides list of available midwifery scholarships.

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS) is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, who studying in entry level health courses including nursing and midwifery.

IAHA commenced delivery and administration of the PHMSS on 1 July 2024, after ACN ceased management of PHMSS on 30 June 2024. There are no changes for current or future PHMSS scholarship recipients.
