18 September 2024 - Our Local Network collaborates with health and aged care system partners to address local challenges and service gaps. We inform government policy and programs that impact the health and wellbeing for all people in Australia.

23 December 2024 - The National Nursing Workforce Strategy will establish priorities to guide the nursing workforce now and into the future. It will help address workforce challenges, foster collaboration and drive action among stakeholders in shaping the future of workforce planning, investment and reform.

26 April 2024 - During the upcoming holidays it is important that we stay COVIDSafe. As we start to enjoy our summer, we need to be aware the next wave of COVID-19 has arrived. Cases are again on the increase. We know that what can be a mild illness for some people can be life threatening for others.

18 July 2025 - Each year, the independent survey team visits participating residential aged care homes and asks residents to participate in the Residents’ Experience Survey to share feedback about their care. Participation is voluntary.

20 May 2025 - The HWT provides advice and recommendations to the Health Ministers’ Meeting (HMM) on priority workforce matters. The HWT develops and oversees implementation of a range of workforce strategies to meet current and future health needs of Australians.

6 June 2025 - The PSS provides a government subsidy to help doctors with the cost of their medical indemnity insurance.

30 July 2025 - We will work with disability stakeholders to design and implement reforms

11 June 2025 - There are many opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to work in the health sector. The Australian Government helps First Nations students complete their studies and join the health workforce. It also provides financial support for further studies to those already working.

30 July 2025 - The National Disability Advocacy Framework 2023–2025 ensures people with disability around Australia can access advocacy services.
