2 June 2023 - Lifeline provides information and immediate phone support to people who are struggling, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

6 June 2025 - The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides free emergency aeromedical evacuations and healthcare services for people living in rural and remote communities. This is often where no other health services are available. We have funded the RFDS since the 1930s.

6 June 2025 - Primary Health Networks (PHNs) are independent organisations that we fund to coordinate primary health care in their region. PHNs assess the needs of their community and commission health services so that people in their region can get coordinated health care where and when they need it.

14 January 2026 - From 1 January 2026, the maximum cost of PBS prescription medicines reduced from $31.60 to $25 for Medicare card holders. The concessional co-payment will remain at $7.70 until 2030. This change helps make medicines more affordable and supports Australians with cost-of-living pressures.

7 November 2025 - This program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live with complex chronic conditions. It often provides one-on-one support to help people manage their conditions and get the health care they need. It also helps health services provide culturally appropriate care.
