27 August 2026 - We are reforming in-home aged care. The new Support at Home program replaced the Home Care Packages Program and Short-Term Restorative Care Programme on 1 November 2025.

9 March 2026 - Bulk billing is now becoming more accessible for all Australians. The Australian Government has expanded eligibility for MBS bulk billing incentives and established the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program meaning more GPs are now offering bulk billed appointments for Medicare-eligible patients.

15 September 2026 - We are accountable for payments made under Medicare programs. We support health practitioners to comply with Medicare requirements, with a focus on prevention and education. We review and audit health practitioners’ claims to make sure they are legitimate.

3 August 2026 - Have your say on the design of the Inclusive Communities Fund. The Fund will support community organisations to strengthen their capability to offer more inclusive activities. This will create more opportunities for people with disability, including NDIS participants, to take part in community life.
