6 November 2025 - As a residential aged care provider, you can ask people in government-subsidised care to pay some fees and accommodation costs.

9 February 2026 - From 1 Nov 2025, all CHSP providers became registered under the Aged Care Act 2024. As a provider, you must meet all registration conditions and obligations, in addition to the requirements in your grant agreement.

31 October 2025 - Under the new Aged Care Act, older people must be treated with respect and are presumed to have the ability to make decisions. 13 February 2026 - The NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee (EAC) will give advice to government on the suitability of supports for funding under the NDIS. This was announced in the 2024–25 Budget, as part of the response to the NDIS Review.

12 September 2025 - Residential aged care is for older people who can no longer live independently at home. The Australian Government funds residential aged care to make it more affordable and accessible.

13 January 2026 - If you want to work in a paid or volunteer aged care role, you must undergo a screening process to get a clearance. The clearance protects the safety and wellbeing of people accessing aged care.
