15 September 2026 - Residential aged care homes can express interest in receiving a free, onsite menu and mealtime review from an accredited practising dietitian. The review will help you meet the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and improve your food and dining services. Express your interest by 5 October.

20 March 2025 - Allen + Clarke Consulting evaluated the current after-hours primary care landscape, the need for primary care services in after-hours periods, and successful models of after hours service provision. The evaluation supported the After Hours Review.

6 June 2025 - A residential aged care funding assessment works out a resident's aged care needs and Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC) classification. This determines the amount of funding given to a provider for the resident.

10 March 2026 - Aged care assessors can use this app to conduct assessments (using the Integrated Assessment Tool or Australian National Aged Care Classification Assessment Tool). If there is no internet, first download client information from the assessor portal and upload the assessment when back in the office.

16 June 2026 - In May 2024, the Australian Government announced the development of a National Health and Medical Research Strategy to provide national direction. It aims to build on strengths in the health and medical research sector, fill any gaps, and continue to attract researchers and investors to Australia.
