16 December 2025 - The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) is a $24.83 billion long-term investment supporting Australian health and medical research. The MRFF aims to transform health and medical research and innovation to improve lives, build the economy and contribute to health system sustainability.

15 January 2026 - The Bonded Medical Places Scheme has closed to new applicants. Existing participants can either continue with this scheme or opt in to the more flexible Bonded Medical Program.

6 November 2025 - The Australian Government provides subsidies to approved residential aged care providers through the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) funding model.
