1 February 2023 - The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) has now advised that three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine are required to be up to date in order to provide protection against both infection and severe disease.

13 September 2024 - Some clients pay for some of the DSOA services they access – this is called a client contribution. When clients moved to DSOA, their contributions remained unchanged – they continued to pay the same contributions that they were paying before moving.

3 November 2025 - The Australian Government funds registered providers to deliver aged care services. As a registered provider, you might also ask people in government-funded aged care to pay some fees and costs.

13 September 2024 - Find out about what services the DSOA Program does and doesn’t cover. Services must meet the needs of a diverse population and can also be suspended for a time, if needed.

10 June 2025 - This template grant agreement was used for Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) Program service coordinators for the delivery of DSOA services from January 2024 to November 2026.

16 January 2026 - We are reforming in-home aged care. The new Support at Home program replaced the Home Care Packages Program and Short-Term Restorative Care Programme on 1 November 2025. The Commonwealth Home Support Program will transition to the new program no earlier than 1 July 2027.

10 June 2025 - Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) service coordinators can use this template to conduct mandatory annual reviews for their clients.

16 February 2026 - This helpline provides short-term, phone-based advocacy for people with disability, their carers and families.

13 September 2024 - Service coordinators who provide DSOA Program services (including through subcontracted arrangements) must deliver services in a way that meets client needs and program and regulatory requirements.
