26 August 2024 - The Australian Government has invested a total of over $18 billion in Australia’s vaccine and COVID-19 treatment supply as part of the COVID-19 Health response. Learn more about our vaccine agreements.

20 March 2025 - We’re delivering 23 actions and initiatives in the first year of the strategy’s action plan. We will regularly evaluate and report on the progress of these actions and initiatives. We are also setting next year’s actions.

28 November 2025 - We are exploring new employment arrangements for general practitioner (GP) and rural generalist (RG) trainees to help build our future GP workforce. This model gives GP and RG trainees more attractive employment conditions throughout their training.

8 January 2026 - There are two trials currently underway that will inform future Multi-Purpose Service Program (MPSP) reforms. They aim to make sure older people have the same protections under MPSP as available under mainstream aged care programs.
